"Once Upon A Time" layout pictorial

"Once Upon A Time" layout

My latest layout is of my cute little cousins , who are not so little anymore, love the look on each of their faces.  I made a picture tutorial but for some reason my camera was not taking good pics for me... They are blurry so please hang in there with me  ;).   Used a Kit from my stash and a bunch of mixed media goodies purchased at the Facebook  store www.scrapbookingwithmeboutique.com....some was covered up in the process of putting it together bdut that is how it goes with mixed media!!

Kit included pretty papers from craft and you designs"Tea Time" collections- 03 the reverse side blue plaid, 05 creamy polk-a- dot and the white paper is Bazzil Basics cardstock- Avalanche.  Tore the pattern paper - 05 , distressed the top and bottom edges with a distress tool and inked with Tim Holtz distress inks - antique linen and walnut stain in that order ) by Ranger.

I then coated the white cardstock with clear gesso and dried it but you can also use white gesso for this part.   Sprayed with shimmerz VIBEZ mists in Deep Blue Sea and Jeni B Blue- from the OCEAN TONZ collection, lightly sprayed water in a water misting bottle to move the mists around ,added light modeling paste through a stencil and stamped with  2 different stamps with a StazOn timber brown ink pad.

Cut and distressed the edges of the mats for my picture.  Used pieces from the same collection -01, 03 and a piece of corrugated cardboard in white.

added the picture and made my flower cluster in matching colors, added a berry pick
cut apart .  then added a doily inked with the Tim Holtz distress inks under the mats with a Prima paintable tag for an extra layered look and added a piece of twin to the tag.

cut leaves from one of the papers -03 front side and more leaves from a metal die to use as filler for the  clusters.

... more stamping and  Prima gems here and there. The title and small butterfly are from a  sticker sheet that came in the kit . The resin butterfly is Prima and added to the top of the left flower cluster.

... then, cause I could never stop myself from adding more.  lol

For the final touches I added Prima micro beads splash with Prima Finnabair 3D matte Gel ,splashes of the same Tonez collection mists used for the back ground, added white gesso around the borders of the entire layout, dry brushed all the flowers as well and edged the layout with the distress inks.

Thank you for taking a look .  Please subscribe to my blog and leave a comment if you'd like.
